Crochet

I have been working on hats and scarves to donate.

These are the scarves I still need to take a pic of the hats.  The scarves are crocheted and the hats are knitted.

I also made a crochet toddler blanket for my nephew.  They don't have any kids yet but I wanted to make them something to put away for when they do in case I am not around when they decide to have babies.

I also made a baby size blanket I still need to take a pic of.

Paper beads and a quilled D

I have discovered paper beads and I love making them

These are really fun to make and rolling paper is surprisingly relaxing, at least for me. I also made a "D" for my sister

I am just not sure how I feel about this, wish I had someone to give me a second opinion, but I don't so Oh Well!!!

Quilled Letter B

So yesterday I spent the whole day, and I do mean the whole day working on quilling a letter.  It was my very first attempt and I am feeling pretty good about it.  I learned so much from this project.

I don't balance color very well, hopefully I will learn better techniques as I go along.

Today's completed project

I finished these quilled flowers today.  I started the project about a month ago then got side tracked with folded paper flowers. 

Black and White Button Bird

Didn't use button as I had planed but found some sparkly dots in my stash of stuff and used them.  Really like the way it turned out.

Todays Project

Pink bird with a quilled tail and a butterfly.  This if my favorite so far.

Recently finished Projects

The red button bird I finished last week but didn't have a wing.  Then I drew the wing and decided yesterday the wing needed to be solid so I add a paper wing and inked around the edges.  The purple button bird is like the red one just purple  :-)

Yesterday I decided to do a bird with quilled "button".  This time I used paper for the bird also.  I like it much better then the white bird.  I need to practice my quilled circles, well actually I am ging to do off center circles.  I am working on a pink bird with quilled off center circles today.

 

I think the quilled with the paper bird is my favorite so far.  I think I will do a paper bird with buttons but I need to find inexpensive buttons.  I can't believe how expensive buttons are these days.  I wish I had the "guts" to go to garage sales and look for buttons.  Old buttons would be really, really awesome.
